Concept definition: A generally grey <CLOUD_LAYER> with a fairly uniform base that may give <DRIZZLE>, ice prisms, or <SNOW_GRAINS>; stratus. When the <SUN> is visible through the <CLOUD_LAYER>, its outline is clearly discernible and does not show halo phenomena except possibly at very low <<AIR_TEMPERATURE>>s.
