Concept definition: A heavy and dense <CLOUD> with considerable vertical extent in the form of a mountain or a set of huge towers; cumulonimbus [WMO407, Section II.2.3.1, "cumulonimbus"]. At least part of its upper portion is usually smooth, fibrous, or striated, and nearly always flattened. This portion often spreads out in the shape of an anvil or vast plume.
