Concept definition: The <LOCATION> on a <LINE> that is nearest to and abeam of another <LOCATION> that is not on the <LINE>; point abeam. EXAMPLE A <LOCATION> on the centre-line of a <RUNWAY> is abeam a glide slope <AERIAL> when the distance from the centre-line of the <RUNWAY> to the glide slope <AERIAL> is at a minimum.
