EA:  MILITARY_FORCE_ALLEGIANCE

Status: STD 2005/06/07
Code: 793

Concept definition: The military allegiance of the force responsible for the creation or maintenance of a <MAN_MADE_OBJECT>. The value is specified in the following manner:
(1) All allegiances are from the perspective of the nation or force providing the classification. The "nation or force providing the classification" is not defined in this International Standard and must be determined from the context in which this EA is used.
(2) In a conflict that involves more than two mutual combatants, nine additional enumerants are defined for identification of the combatants. The number nine was chosen because, historically, more than nine groups are unlikely to simultaneously engage in mutual hostilities.
(3) The groups identified by each of the nine additional enumerants are not defined in this International Standard and must be determined by the context in which this EA is used.
